Initial Appointment – is charged at $350.00 per hour including GST
Family Law Legal Services – Thereafter a Costs Agreement will be provided setting out the terms – essentially the hourly rate then becomes $550 Incl. GST.
The Costs Agreement incorporates the matters referred to in the costs Disclosure Statement which discloses information about the costs of the legal services & other matters as required by the Legal Profession Uniform Law.
Payment for all disbursements is required in full, before they are incurred.

Julie Shedden FDRP/Mediator & Accredited Specialist in Family Law in Parramatta for face to face mediations (but willing to travel to other locations within Sydney Metropolitan area by mutual agreement).
ALL MEDIATIONS REQUIRE A PRE-MEDIATION INTAKE with each party of up to 45 minutes – Remotely via ZOOM or Telephone at additional cost -$440.00 incl. GST each party.

PLEASE NOTE:
Pre-Mediation Intake by ZOOM or Telephone usually upto 45 minutes which ordinarily occurs 1 week prior to the Mediation.A party and their lawyers, if applicable, are both requested to attend and are at liberty to attend the conference from the same or separate locations.
- Half Day in person, by an electronic platform such as ZOOM or Microsoft TEAMS or by Telephone usually up to 3.5 hours , which includes the review, reading of relevant material such as intakes &position papers/case summaries (in property mediation, to include reading additional material per FCFCOA Rules) the mediation conference – additional time spent at an hourly rate
- Full Day in person, by an electronic platform such as ZOOM or Microsoft TEAMS or by Telephone usually up to 7 hours, which includes review, reading of relevant material such as intakes &position papers/case summaries (in property mediation to include reading additional material per FCFCOA Rules) the conference – additional time spent at an hourly rate
Saturdays for either half day or full day, by an electronic platform such as ZOOM or Microsoft TEAMS or Telephone by agreement
Section 60I Certificate when a mediation does not proceed is $440.00 ($220 Per Person) incl. GST.
Certificate of Dispute Resolution at the conclusion of the mediation if required, & this may incur an additional fee of $220.00 (inclusive of GST).
Venue hire (if required) at cost.

Legal Aid and Agency Work
Legal Aid Work – whilst I am on the Family Law Panel with Legal Aid NSW I rarely undertake such work at present, although I do a significant amount of ICL work & Mediation Panel work for Legal Aid NSW at an hourly rate of $550 incl.

Agency Work & Legal Aid –
Legal Aid agency work will be at the rate of $214.5 Incl. GST.
- Mentions/Directions will be $385 Incl. GST
- Instructing Counsel at Final Hearings will be $385 Incl. GST
- Conciliation Conferences/Registrar Assisted Dispute Resolution Conferences/ Interim Hearings will be $440 Incl. GST
